Elaine joined the firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. She obtained her Business Administration Diploma in Accounting from Camosun College and then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University. She lives in Sidney with her husband, John, and couldn't imagine a better place to live.
Elaine enjoys working with business owners to help them with all aspects of their businesses, including the accounting and tax pieces of the puzzle. She works with a wide variety of businesses and not-for-profit organizations covering a spectrum of industries. Elaine also has extensive personal tax experience, including non-resident taxes, and enjoys tax planning with clients throughout the year in order to save taxes and avoid surprises (the unwelcome type).
Elaine is currently the Treasurer for the Saanich Peninsula Community Foundation and the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation.
Elaine and her husband have a passion for travel. Some of their favourite locations have been Bolivia, China, Syria, Jordan, Alaska, France, Belize and Myanmar. She loves experiencing the culture, natural environment and food (especially the food) of other countries, but is always thankful to return home to the charm and beauty of the Island.
When not travelling to other countries, she can be found exploring the outdoors on the Island, whether it be kayaking, biking, gardening or just reading a book in the sunshine.
