It seems that in every industry these days, employers are facing staff shortages.  One great way to retain your existing staff or to entice new staff to join your team is to pay for additional education and training for them. To this end, the BC government provides grants to employers to cover between 60% to 100% of the cost of training.  Depending on the type of training, the grant per employee can be up to $5,000 - $10,000.  Training can be for improving skills in an existing job or learning skills for an entirely new position within the company. We have found this program to be very flexible and have heard from most employers that their applications have been approved, with very few denied.

We encourage employers to visit the WorkBC website to find out if you can benefit from this program.
